Digital-services VAT is no longer a memo on the tax manager’s desk. It shows up in procurement: who is the supplier of record, where is the customer, and does the invoice even carry a PIN or TIN.
In Nairobi, teams are blocking SaaS vendors that cannot issue a compliant eTIMS invoice. In Lagos, the same conversation is FIRS, WHT on software, and whether the group should register a local entity or keep buying from the regional hub.
The teams that are calm about this already treat tax as an operating constraint, not a year-end surprise.
